Peru: Investigations at Altitude

When a client asked us to find a Network Partner to conduct a site visit in Peru, we knew we could help. What we didn't realise at the time was that this would take us to new heights....an altitude of 2,926 metres to be precise.

We often get asked to find on-the-ground investigative resources in the remotest of places round the globe, or in challenging data gathering environments. With access to a network of 1500+ intelligence sources around the world, we are confident we can make a suitable match for the full spectrum of investigative requirements. Our network is invitation-only and all of our network partners are fully vetted, providing rapid access to non-digitised information in over 200 jurisdictions.

In this instance our client required a site visit to verify a business in the capital Lima and in Calca, just over 50 kilometres from Cusco. Calca is a popular town for travellers, close to the Inca complex of Huchuy Qosqo in the Sacred Valley. But conducting investigations there is a different story, especially in short timeframes.

Our adaptive algorithm made a positive match and our client proceeded with the project on the platform. Just a few days later, the Network Partner was able to make a positive verification of the business at the site, travelling over from Cusco. In this instance that meant sending through a picture taken 'from atop a mule'.

Here at Ground Truth, we want to make investigations more transparent and give our clients access to information direct from the source - no matter the altitude or mode of transport required.

Get in touch today and discover how we can support your investigations in Peru and across the globe.
